Private investigator
Sydney.

Understand your options before committing to an investigation.

A relationship concern, an address needed for document service or a claim that does not add up. PartnerCheck assesses Sydney enquiries and explains what an appropriately scoped investigation can establish.

Plan the location as well as the time.

For Sydney field enquiries, start with the general area and whether the relevant activity is expected to stay in one place or move between locations. A fixed-location observation and an enquiry involving several areas need different preparation. We assess travel, the observation window and investigator availability before offering a scope.

What to prepare.

Tell us whether the enquiry concerns a fixed venue, a general area or uncertain movements. Include any relevant dates and how current your information is. You do not need to follow someone or gather extra material yourself. Detailed identifiers and documents belong in the private brief after assessment.

Prepare a confidential brief

Choose the question you need answered.

Infidelity and relationship concerns

Discuss concerns about a partner without assuming infidelity. We assess whether factual enquiries or surveillance could help clarify the specific question. Findings and limitations are reported, with no promised outcome.

Scoped surveillance

Agree the purpose, location, observation period and reporting. Field conditions can limit what is observed. Additional time or a change in locations requires a new assessment and your approval of extra costs.

Skip tracing for debt-related enquiries

If an old address or an uncertain address is delaying document service, start with a tracing assessment. Give the date the address was last known to be current and the legitimate debt-related purpose. Researching an address lead and serving a document are separate services.

Investigation costs
in Sydney.

Start with an assessment, then compare the complete written scope. Desktop packages and local fieldwork have different inclusions.

Understand investigation costs

$132including GST per hour

The hourly reference is $120 plus GST. Minimum time, investigator numbers, travel and reporting are confirmed for your proposed engagement. This is not a promise of a one-hour booking.

Review package scopes and prices. A listed field package must be assessed for your location and dates before it can be booked. We confirm any additional costs before payment.

Check who will
undertake the work.

NSW Police provides a public licence-verification service and lists Class 2E as Private Investigator. Ask for the relevant licence details of the person and business undertaking your proposed work, then check them before engagement.

Can you assess a Sydney enquiry when I live elsewhere?

Yes. Tell us where the relevant activity is expected to occur and where you are based. We can assess the enquiry remotely, arrange a private brief if suitable and confirm local delivery before payment. Your preferred safe contact method and time are part of that assessment.

Can a private detective guarantee a finding?

No. Whether you search for a private detective or a private investigator, ask what work is included and how uncertainty is reported. Correct identification, available sources and field conditions affect what can be established.

Assessment first. Payment after scope approval.

  1. Choose your starting point.

Explore the checks or speak with us about the question you need answered.

  2. Agree the right scope.

Every enquiry receives a personal assessment. If suitable, we send a single-use invitation for your brief and documents.

  3. Confirm your brief and price.

Complete your brief and uploads. We then confirm the scope and total for your approval before payment through your portal.

  4. Understand the findings.

Receive clear reporting that explains the evidence, uncertainty and limits.

Keep your initial enquiry brief and tell us when and how it is safe to reply. Do not send sensitive evidence through the public form. If the enquiry is suitable, we invite you to complete the private brief and provide requested documents.
